With a gasp, Zack jolts back into awareness. Moments ago, he had been lying on cold, wet ground, strength slipping away as he bled out. To be on his feet is disorienting and he stumbles forward, nearly falling into a fountain - the source of the mist he mistook as rain.
But-- wait, hang on--
The fugitive SOLDIER looks wildly around the area.]
"A... Hotel...?"
[He allows himself a moment to fold forward over his knees to regain his breath. This made all of zero sense. He's positive that he was dying--DID die, actually--so why is he awake? And where is Cloud?! A reassuring thought is that Shinra wouldn't have let him go again if they'd picked them up. But, no, what if they took Cloud because they thought Zack was dead?]
"Dammit..!" [Zack grumbles. Then pauses. At the angle he's leaning forward, he sees his reflection in the water around the fountain. There's no blood. He knows there should have been so much blood. And yet... Straightening up, he picks at his shirt. It's riddled with bullet holes. In fact, after giving himself a once over, he can conclude that his entire outfit is damaged from the battle he knows he had just been in, against dozens of Shinra's army.]
"This keeps getting weirder and weirder... Was it... Something Shinra did?"
[Zack spends the next 20 minutes exploring his location. The doors don't work, the projection in the suit shuns his many questions, but, oddly enough, he seems to have a free hotel room. Whatever. He'll take anything he can get right now; he's too fried to make much of a fuss and it feels pointless anyway when he's so confused. After checking out his room, which is way nice, he makes his way back downstairs to explore some more. He's looking for answers....or someone else to talk to would probably be helpful.]
